Whether you’re visiting for an elegant afternoon, a celebration, or a taste of Victorian charm, our Frequently Asked Questions will help you plan the perfect visit.

MENU INFORMATION

Afternoon Tea is a traditional mid-day experience featuring finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, pastries, and tea.

High Tea is often used casually to describe Afternoon Tea, but historically it referred to a heartier, more casual evening meal.

Scottish High Tea at Pendray is a more substantial experience with warm savoury dishes, scones, and desserts; perfect as an early evening meal in a cosy historic setting.

While Afternoon Tea and Scottish High Tea are tea-focused experiences, our Sunday Roast offers a classic British dinner alternative for guests seeking a more traditional evening meal.

Yes. Scottish High Tea is one of our signature experiences, offering a hearty yet refined twist on tradition. It’s ideal for guests looking for a more filling, evening-style tea service while still enjoying the elegance and charm of Pendray Tea House.

Yes. In addition to Afternoon Tea, Pendray Tea House offers two popular evening experiences:

  • Scottish High Tea, a hearty, savoury-forward twist on traditional tea
  • Traditional Sunday Roast, a classic British-style roast dinner served in our elegant historic setting

Both are perfect options for guests looking for a more substantial meal while still enjoying the atmosphere and charm of Pendray Tea House.

Our Sunday Roast is a traditional three-course meal inspired by classic British dining. It includes a seasonal starter, a hearty roast beef entrée served with Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, vegetables, and house-made gravy, followed by a comforting dessert. Menu selections may vary slightly throughout the year to reflect fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Sunday Roast is served every Sunday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (last seating at 7:00 pm). We recommend checking our reservations page for the most up-to-date availability.
